About Us |
About Us … We are a firm of Qualified Accountants, Taxation and Business
Advisors established in 1979, based in Royal Hillsborough, Northern Ireland. We provide advice to small and mediums sized businesses (see What we do)
on a one to one personal basis throughout the UK and
Ireland. We see ourselves as an integral part of our client’s business
and seek to advise as if it were our own and do this by keeping in regular
close contact and proactively contributing to the development
of the business as well as sorting out the day to day
financial matters. The team is led by Arnold Wylie who after obtaining an honours
degree in Accountancy, trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with
Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers - PwC)
gaining experience in a variety of businesses covering both local and
national corporations. During this time, he developed a specialism
in smaller businesses, providing creative solutions to business and tax
related problems. Arnold joined the family Chartered Accountancy practice in
1985 and developed a service tailored to bringing the specialist knowledge
and services of the larger accountancy firms to the smaller enterprise on an
affordable basis. He is a Fellow member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Linda Cherry began her
accountancy career completing her Accountant Technician exams with a
Portadown accountancy firm before working in the local government for three
years. Upon commencing her ACCA exams she moved back into practice and joined
ASC Wylie in 1999 to complete her exams. She is now a Fellow member of the
ATT. Tracey Thompson joined ASC
Wylie in 2004 after obtaining her IATI certification. Tracey has always
enjoyed learning new skills and in 2011 she gained her ATT qualification and
subsequently becoming a member. Following this she continued on her
accountancy journey and is currently studying to become a member of ACCA, successfully
completing the ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills module which has helped
develop her awareness of leadership, communication and commercial
acumen. Over the years she has gained valuable
experience in working with OMBs, partnerships and larger organisations. She
particularly enjoys working with clients in the Charity sector.
Tracey enjoys the daily challenge that the Accountancy Profession
brings and embraces the chance to develop and learn new skills along the way. In 2019 ASC Wylie joined the Xeinadin Group,
an extensive group of more than 1,500 advisors spanning the UK and Ireland.
